About Janette...
Janette Auguar is a native of Columbia, South Carolina where she graduated from South Carolina State University with a B.A. in Professional Theatre and Communications. Her collegiate days were most notable at SC State University. She hit the ground running as Miss Freshman, the queen who represented the entire Freshman class. Her ability to represent continued as she represented the Theatre organization at SC State University as Miss. Henderson Davis Player. Two years of queenship continued on and she represented the Alpha Phi Alpa Fraternity for the school, then the State of South Carolina, and then placed for the region. Finally, during her senior year, she was the 1st attendant to Ms. South Carolina State University. Theatre was a staple in Janette’s journey and she earned awards for Best Sound Technician, Best Stage Manager, and a Four Year Service Award.
Prior to her attendance at SC State University at age sixteen, Janette was a contestant in the Miss SC Teenager parent where she won the award for Ms. Congeniality as voted by her peers and she also won the dissertation on “What’s Right About America”.
Over the years, she has enjoyed being a Radio Disc Jockey and working in media. Her career started in South Carolina at WDIX and WQKI radio stations where she obtained her third class broadcast endorsement and held the afternoon dive-time slot.
More recently, she produces and hosts the internet radio show, “A Spiritual Connection” on the Real Urban Radio Network www.realurbanradio.com which provides a platform for Christians to share their testimonies, which are miraculous recoveries from various trails. This is done so others will hear, have hope and anticipate a better outcome for their own situations and lives.
A Spiritual Connection has been featured on local cable television for over fifteen years and has also been featured in print in Gospel International Magazine which features prominent recording artist and major Christian events worldwide including the Gospel Music Workshop of America.
As someone who has experienced the miraculous, Janette is enamored with the obstacles that others have overcome and more importantly, overjoyed about the interventions that are by no means coincidental. Finding her place through her tentativeness to God, trials, errors, rebukes and scorns have anchored her in the purpose she is privileged to fulfill.
Janette has served as Anchor of a weekly church video news programs in mega ministries and served as editor and chief for the three dimensional magazine. She has been most instrumental in Ministry Public Relations in an effort to compel others to know and believe.
She established Diamond Eagle, Inc because she felt a responsibility to respond to our community with inspiration, insight, and instruction for the challenging issues plaguing our society. Scripture declares, "We overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimonies" (Rev.12:11). Testimonies is the cornerstone of hope for tomorrow and she is honored to be the catalyst to provide that.
Janette is the mother of two and the grandmother of four who uses every experience God has entrusted her with to glorify Him as a living witness of His grace, mercy, and power.
Her spoken word CD entitled, “Born”, which poetically articulates her journey, uniquely ministers to countless people as she speaks of her experiences that range from relationships to parenting to Corporate America . Her book “The Grace to Walk Away” tells of many of her experiences and the divine interventions that footnotes the passion of the program, “A Spiritual Connection”.
She is a Sales Manager in Corporate America with Services Corporation International where she oversees a team of counselors who meet with families who have had a loss. The concentration is on preparedness to empower generations to leave an inheritance for their children and their children’s children as opposed to leaving debt to accompany the grief of their loss. She has earned numerous awards including Family Service Counselor of the Year and Sales Manager of the Year in her market and also in all of California. She was also among 10 of 500 people chosen as a ‘HiPo’, a “High Potential” candidate in the company.
Janette enjoys theatre and she has appeared in numerous productions including Brandi Burks Kesselman’s productions of “Under The Freeway” and “As Quite As Kept”. She is a member of Whitefire Theatre Company in Sherman Oaks, Ca and a member of SAG/AFTRA.
As God continues to do great things Janette believes, without question, that the best is yet to come.
